Matt Mungle

Thank you so much for your consideration for the TV Branch Co-Presidency. I have been a member of the CCA for seven years, and a member of the TV branch for two. Along with the CCA, I am also a member of the Dallas Ft Worth Film Critics Association as well as the Oklahoma Film Critics Circle. These regional groups have given me the opportunity to engage closely with fellow critics in regard to industry needs and concerns. As a CCA member, I have served on nomination committees including The Super Awards and The Doc Awards. For over 20 years I have worked for a recognized national media company overseeing one of their radio divisions. This has given me firsthand experience balancing traditional information delivery with the new digital world of streaming and podcasts. In this role, I’ve had to broaden my own perspective as well as influence others, work with a team to find solutions, and adopt new procedures – moving away from “this is how we have always done it” is never easy.  With streaming apps only getting more popular, this will mean a rise in TV shows and series. I am excited to work with each of you and it would be an honor to serve as TV Branch Co-President.
