- Douglas Laman's first word was "Disney." Those six letters laid out a path for an ensuing life driven by a passion for cinema of all shapes and sizes. As an adult, Douglas is a film critic for The Spool and a features writer for outlets like Collider and Looper. Doug has also had writing featured on websites ranging from Fangoria to The Mary Sue and has made appearances on podcasts such as The A24 Project.
