- Biography:
- Beth Accomando is an award-winning film critic at KPBS and is the host of the Cinema Junkie podcast. She also founded the non-profit organization Film Geeks SD, through which she programs indie, foreign, and genre films for Comic-Con Museum and Digital Gym Cinema. In addition to the CCA, she is a member of the Online Film Critics Society and Alliance of Women Film Journalists. She has also worked with the San Diego Asian, Latino, Italian, and Jewish Film Festivals. She compiles eccentric ten best lists for Showbiz Junkies and freelances for NPR and PRI. Beth won Comic-Con International’s Inkpot Award, Bob Clampett Humanitarian Award, and 11 Southwestern Area Emmy Awards. She was also an editor on all the sequels to The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes movies and still has a couple of the lethal vegetables, er fruits, in her office.
