- Brian Formo is the Head of Studio Relations & Awards Strategy at Letterboxd, the premiere social media app for movie lovers. In this role he has grown Letterboxd's media presence, video channels, and overall membership through talent interviews and studio and awards partnerships. Prior to Letterboxd, Brian was a producer for Fandango/Rotten Tomatoes for four years and a staff critic for Collider for three years prior to that. He grew up in Boise, Idaho and studied creative writing at the University of Tennessee before moving back west to do public relations and copywriting for K Records, the famous indie record label in Olympia, Washington. Washington state is where his professional film criticism began, as a critic for The Spokesman Review in Spokane, Washington in the early 2000s. For most of his professional life he’s split his time between Los Angeles and New York City and now calls Pasadena home.
