- Chip Hansen is an Emmy award-winning television director with 35+ years of live broadcast experience. He holds two degrees from the University of South Carolina in Media Arts with a concentration in video and film production. Chip has been the film critic at WFLA-TV since 2018, with regular appearances on Daytime, a nationally syndicated lifestyle show of which he is also the director, as well as a recurring segment on NewsChannel 8 called “Screen It, Stream It, or Skip It.” Chip loves a good horror movie, and his guilty pleasure is rewatching The Breakfast Club for the umpteenth time. When he’s not spouting opinions on cinema, you might find him attending Gamecock football games, sim racing, or enjoying a good glass of bourbon.
