- Biography:
- Born and raised in McAlester, Oklahoma, Dino Lalli is the President of Clever Name Productions, LLC, a company dedicated to providing various types of programming to television stations around the country. Currently, Dino is under contract to the Oklahoma Department of Tourism and Recreation and is the producer for Discover Oklahoma, a weekly program seen throughout the state and Texas as well. The show is dedicated to the promotion of Oklahoma tourism by featuring people, destinations and attractions throughout the state. Lalli is also one of the reporters for the program. Discover Oklahoma is broadcast every Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in four major television markets; KWTV Channel 9 in Oklahoma City, KOTV Channel 6 in Tulsa, KSWO Channel 7 in Lawton, and digitally via KXII Channel 12.2 at 6:00 p.m. in Sherman, TX. Also, Dino is also the entertainment reporter and film critic for the CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City, KWTV. Dino will soon be seen as the weekly host of a weekly show airing Hollywood Spotlight. The show takes a look at current films, movies available to rent as well as personality profiles in and connected to the film industry. Prior to working for Discover Oklahoma, Lalli worked in the Oklahoma Film and Music Office for almost nine years. He held the position of Field Representative. In that capacity, some of his duties included, location scouting and photographs, production logistics, eliminating red tape for various types of productions, research, acting as a liaison between a production entity and the community and/or state, and point of contact for various production companies. Prior to his service with the state, Lalli was the Creative Services Director in the television division of Feed the Children, a worldwide, non-profit organization based in Oklahoma City,a position he held for two years. Over a 20-year period, Dino served as the award winning entertainment editor and film critic for three television stations; the ABC and NBC affiliates in Oklahoma City as well as KNBC in Burbank, California. While at Channel 5 in Oklahoma City, he hosted and produced an award winning nationally syndicated program on movies. Two of the Academy Awards specials Dino produced and hosted were nominated for regional Emmy Awards while at Channel 5. Dino has also received numerous community awards and citations for his charity work. Much of Dino's work has aired nationally on various ABC affiliates, The Today Show, CNN Showbiz Tonight, ESPN, and Entertainment Tonight. Dino received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism Radio/TV Broadcasting from the University of Oklahoma in 1978. His freshman year at OU, he was a McMahon Journalism Scholar. He and his wife Laryssa have three children.
