- Biography:
- Felix Caraballo has been a movie fan since he was 5 years old when he watched Star Wars (1977) for the first time. Since then, he remained connected to this fascinating art which he has cultivated from the journalism/critic perspective, collaborating for many outlets since 2000. (TV, print, radio, online). After obtaining a BA in Public Communications from the University of Puerto Rico (1995), (where he took several courses from journalism, screenwriting & production), began to review films for a major radio station which led to invitations for important movie premieres, and eventually to his first official interview with Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuaron for his Harry Potter film, while working as a Sales Director for one of the country's leading newspapers. This experience led him to become the second film critic invited to press junkets, an exercise he has been doing for the part 24 years. He has interviewed more than 200 film personalities, for various media outlets in Puerto Rico and currently works as CEO for Metro Puerto Rico (the largest free newspaper in the world), which publishes his weekly reviews and interviews. Due to the newspaper's global reach, many of his interviews has been published around the globe (Russia, Finland, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, USA, Mexico, etc). He was recently Rotten Tomatoes critic certified. At the moment, in addition to publishing his contents in Metro and www.metro.pr, he leads movie segments in some of the most rated TV and radio shows in Puerto Rico, Telemundo PR (Hoy Dia PR) and La Nueva 94.7 FM (What's Up)
