- Josh Horowitz has been the face and voice of MTV News’ movies coverage on-air and online since 2006. Josh’s memorably unique approach to celebrity interviews has landed him in New York Magazine’s approval matrix (lowbrow-brilliant for the record) and earned no less than Will Ferrell’s approval in his list of “10 Things That Make Me Laugh” in Entertainment Weekly. Since 2010, Josh has hosted over 200 episodes of “After Hours” on MTV.com, a show where he stars in scripted comedy sketches alongside the likes of Hugh Jackman, Mark Wahlberg, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, Daniel Radcliffe and Anna Kendrick. A veteran of live red carpet coverage, Josh has hosted and appeared on MTV’s Movie Awards pre-show since 2011, and anchored the channel’s comprehensive live-streaming coverage of the Academy Awards, Comic-Con, and Sundance. In addition he has hosted numerous specials for the channel. He has also appeared as a guest host and commentator on various shows including the Today Show and Charlie Rose. In 2014, Josh launched his own celebrity interview podcast, “Happy Sad Confused”. The show has welcomed the likes of Woody Allen and Kristen Stewart in their podcast debuts, alongside actors and filmmakers ranging from Quentin Tarantino and Al Pacino to Bill Murray and Jon Stewart. In 2016, Josh co-created and wrote the Comedy Central scripted series, Junketeers, satirizing his own on air career.
