- Jasmine Simpkins is a TV host, reporter, film critic and producer. Currently she is a correspondent for the KTLA lifestyle show “L.A. Unscripted” and is also a feature reporter for KTLA Weekend AM News. A native of Los Angeles, Jasmine has always had a passion for the arts and entertainment and began her journey as a journalist at UCLA writing for the Daily Bruin. Since, Jasmine has worked for networks like BET and sites like AOL reporting and producing. She joined the Nexstar team in 2019 as a part-time MMJ and co-host of the daily digital show 5LIVE on KTLA. Now she can also be seen sharing her opinion on hot topics and reviewing films on Kevin Frazier's entertainment news site HipHollywood.com , HLN, NBC and Fox on the daytime talk show “Sherri” hosted by Sherri Shepherd.
