- Peter Howell is the movie critic for the Toronto Star, Canada’s largest daily newspaper, a post he’s held since 1996. He is the past president of the Toronto Film Critics Association, for which he was the executive producer of a Canadian Screen Awards-winning virtual gala in 2021. He regularly attends the Cannes, Toronto, and Sundance film festivals. His favorite film of all time is 2001: A Space Odyssey. He blogs about film at Nightviz.ca.
