- Randy Myers is an award-winning critic/journalist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. A Northern Californian native, he started writing about movies in high school. Through the years, he has been an entertainment editor, sports editor, and online editor. His articles currently appear in the San Jose Mercury News, the East Bay Times, and other Bay Area News Group and Media News Group outlets. He regularly moderates Bay Area film conversations with notable personalities, such as Jessica Chastain, Brendan Fraser, Jafar Panahi, Joel Edgerton, Amanda Seyfried, Mona Fastvold, Eva Victor, and Simon Rex. He served two terms as the San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle president and remains an active member of the group. During his tenure, he helped create award partnerships with nationally recognized film festivals such as Frameline, the Mill Valley Film Festival, and the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival. He is also a member of GALECA (The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics). When not watching movies or the latest TV releases, you can find this cat daddy leading Equinox group fitness classes, feeding his avid book addiction, traveling here, there, and everywhere with his husband, and participating in running and cycling events.
