- Biography:
- Tim Estiloz is an experienced, multiple Emmy award winning broadcast journalist, film critic and performer... with over a decade of covering entertainment news, hard news, program hosting, anchoring and much more. Tim currently is the film critic for Boston Latino TV, which provides programming highlighting general entertainment, latino culture, fashion and much more... for Boston's english speaking latino community. He is also a freelance feature reporter and producer for Comcast and various other TV projects in New England. Tim also writes weekly long form film reviews for Boston Latino TV's website, as well as Examiner.com and his own website, www.TimEstiloz.com Tim's strong suit is his energetic and engaging personality combined with a highly creative visual producing style - with a focus on entertainment and feature programming. His skill as a TV host, reporter, interviewer and producer has garnered him two New England Emmy Awards and multiple other Emmy nominations, a New England Cable Television Award, and a Telly award for broadcast excellence. Tim has interviewed and profiled many of Hollywood's top Oscar-winning film and television actors, music stars and other notable celebrities... including Meryl Streep, Will Smith, Kate Winslet, Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington, Queen Latifah, Spike Lee, John Travolta, Reese Witherspoon, Jodie Foster, Jessica Alba, Robert Downey Jr., Natalie Portman and many others. Tim was also the first and only TV reporter to ever obtain a face to face, in-depth interview with the one and only, reclusive pin-up legend, Bettie Page... who's life was chronicled in the 2005 film, "The Notorious Bettie Page". His diverse on-air reporting and hosting experience includes stints with NBC daytime programming, HGTV, E! Entertainment Television, Comcast Cable programming, CN8 The Comcast Network, PBS, and various Boston TV news operations. Whenever possible, Tim enjoys performing and acting beyond his regular TV gig... appearing in many commercials, TV projects and films shot in the Boston area. His resume includes being cast as a state trooper "extra" for director Clint Eastwood's film "Mystic River"... and actor / director Ben Affleck also cast him for a speaking role as a TV reporter in his critically acclaimed film "Gone Baby Gone". Tim also spent a portion of his early years as a competitive singles figure skater, before turning professional and performing on tour around the continental USA, Hawaii and Canada. He's also an accomplished artist, cartoonist and illustrator with an Associate Degree in Illustration and Graphic Design. A proud native of Pennsylvania, Tim claims both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia as his home towns, having spent much of his growing years in both cities. Tim's love for creative writing and broadcasting led to his B.A. in Journalism and Communications from Point Park University in Pittsburgh. Tim's other passions include traveling, dancing, skiing, horseback riding, skydiving... and anything else that's fun, edgy and exciting. He's also an avid film buff... of course, prolific writer... and a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers football fan.
