- Beatrice Verhoeven was born and raised in Germany and came to the US to study English at Loyola Marymount University. She then attended USC for her master’s degree in Journalism before joining TheWrap as a blogger. She worked her way up to the site’s film editor, and in October joined The Hollywood Reporter as its deputy awards editor, covering the awards race for the publication. She was recently nominated as Entertainment Journalist of the Year at the LA Press Club Awards.
