- Biography:
- Jim Gordon began as a film critic for his local paper when he was 18 and has been doing that job ever since. He has been a member of the Vancouver media since arriving on the Canadian west coast in 1995, and a film/TV critic on weekly TV since 1996, including nearly 20 years with CTV Vancouver. Since 2015, Jim has been the Co-Executive Producer/Co-Host of the entertainment-lifestyle TV show Our City Tonight. It airs weekly, nationally on CHEK TV, locally on Novus TV, and online at Ourcitytonighttv.com. Since 2003, he has been the Executive Producer/Co-Host of the TV show The Travel Guys. It airs on CHEK TV and Novus TV. Jim is also the host of Market One Minute on BNN Bloomberg TV and an on-camera business host for several Canadian online media companies. He also continues to write weekly print/digital columns for The Richmond Sentinel and bi-monthly for Iconic Concierge magazine. But film remains his great love -- something he's had since the age of 5, when he quoted Charlton Heston's speech at the end of Planet of the Apes (swear words included) to his teacher and class and was promptly sent home.
