- Biography:
- Before making a home in Detroit I was an entertainment and feature reporter for WABC in New York. I love the Big Apple, but living here and getting to interact with the people of southeast Michigan has been the most rewarding experience in my career. We've had a lot of fun together. I've seen the world's largest weather vane and the world's largest musical water fountain (both can be found in Michigan, by the way). I've been from Birmingham to Benton Harbor and found good people and good times. I enjoy sharing my little slice of television with everyone. I received two of my four Emmy awards for a "Trading Places". It's a segment that allow me to give someone my job while I do theirs. I've been a teacher, construction worker, singing telegram and a sheriff's deputy. And the best part, those people got to do my job. As part of my duties I go out to Hollywood and interview some of the biggest stars on the planet and we it seems that every film or tv show has someone that is from the great state of Michigan. I find them and bring them home through television of course. But with all that said the story that has truly changed my life is my own. I told you my story about my battle with a disease called vitiligo and your viewership and support never changed. Many of you sent me messages of hope and strength. Thank you for your support. I have a degree in communications from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C. I would not be here without it, but my job goes way past paperwork. It's about people work. And, I've fallen in love with people here in Michigan. I run into them everywhere. We have run into people while on a Caribbean cruise. We have shared some space on the red carpets of Los Angeles. Now, sometimes I get to interact with famous people like Tom Cruise or Halle Berry in the Foxbeat segments. I try to ask them the question you might want to ask. But I truly enjoy my everyday people, folks like me, working to live and trying to get squeeze the most they can out of every moment. Life is the gift. And, I'm fortunate and happy to have spent a good portion of my life with you.
