- Max Gao is a freelance journalist based in Toronto and Montreal. He has written for The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, NBC News, Teen Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, W, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Sports Illustrated, Men's Health, The Daily Beast, and other publications. Max specializes in writing features and profiles about the rising and established players in sports and entertainment. He has also worked as an official writer and photographer for the National Bank Open presented by Rogers, an annual tennis event held in Toronto. He graduated from McGill University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in International Management and Finance, and he is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at Western University.
