- Maggie Ma is a film journalist and critic based in LA with more than 18 years of experience. She has worked for outlets both domestically and internationally. Currently, she is the entertainment reporter and critic for UNE in the U.S. and Dou Ban in China. Other outlets she has worked for include World Journal, Movie View magazine, Sohu.com, Southern Metropolis Daily, and Mtime. She was born in Beijing and graduated from USC with a Master's degree in Global Communication, fluent in Mandarin and English. She has covered the Oscars, Golden Globes, and SAG Awards since 2007. She has been on the MPAA press directory since 2010. She is a big fan of SDCC, D23, and theme parks. Loves sci-fi movies, animations, and Marvel movies, but also a fan of movies that are inspired by real events.
