- Ryan Jay is an entertainment journalist, critic, host, and Oz historian. He appears weekly on the NBC-TV affiliate in Milwaukee, WI, and is nationally syndicated on radio by Premiere Networks. On the red carpet at movie premieres and events, Ryan has interviewed many of Hollywood’s A-list celebrities. For over a decade, he was featured as a member of the Fashion Police in Us Weekly magazine. As an Oz historian, Ryan presents across the country about The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, Wicked, and related entertainment. He received honorary lifetime membership to the L. Frank Baum Historical Foundation in New York for substantial lifetime achievement in academic advancement, preservation of, and dedication to the presentation of all things Oz; and was honored to have his handprints and autograph inducted in cement at the Oz Museum in Kansas, just below those of Jerry Maren (the middle Munchkin in The Lollipop Guild). Ryan has worked as a television producer of major pop culture and entertainment programming for networks such as Bravo, Showtime, MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, TLC, and more.
