- Sean Tajipour is the founder of Nerdtropolis, an online entertainment platform reaching millions with movie news, reviews, celebrity interviews, and trailers. He launched Nerdtropolis.com to make pop culture coverage more accessible and to create a home for fans of all fandoms. Through his work and passion for the community, he has been affectionately coined the “Mayor of Nerdtropolis.” A lifelong movie lover, Tajipour began publishing reviews online at just 11 years old, back when tracking down the latest film or a classic meant walking to the local store to buy it on VHS. Today, he is the founder and co-host of The Moviegoers Society Podcast and the host of Reel Insights, where he has interviewed more than 300 actors, directors, and creators. His film and TV coverage can also be found through his contributions to Tell-Tale TV, Eulalie Magazine, and ScreenSphere. Tajipour frequently appears on local television segments discussing film and pop culture, and he contributes commentary on Houston Public Media’s Hello Houston, sharing insights on movies, television, and the entertainment industry. He serves on the Critics Choice Association Super Awards nomination committee. Outside of entertainment, Tajipour is the founding president of Texas’s largest automotive organization, West Houston Muscle (WHM), producing family-friendly classic and hot rod car shows across the state.
