- Patrick Heidmann, born in Hamburg (Germany) and based in Berlin (Germany), started reviewing films as a student in the late 90s. Since then, he's been writing as a freelance journalist for a large number of German-speaking outlets, ranging from magazines such as GQ, InStyle, Rolling Stone, EPD Film, and Playboy to newspapers like FAZ, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Berliner Zeitung, and taz as well as websites like Zeit Online, Spiegel Online or Queer.de. Besides reviewing films and TV/streaming shows, he's regularly interviewing filmmakers and actors and a regular attendee of film festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale, TIFF, Venice, Locarno, and more. Additionally, he's moderating panels, Q&As, and press conferences and is hired as a programming consultant by various festivals.
